Welcome to the website of the Probus Club of Harpenden

The Probus Club of Harpenden was founded in 1974 and was one of the first Probus clubs established in the country. Our aim is to provide a meeting place for retired and semi-retired men to get together and enjoy a monthly programme of a lunch and an interesting talk on a variety of subjects from visiting speakers.

We meet on the first Thursday of each month at Harpenden Golf Club, Hammonds End. We arrive around 12.00 noon with lunch starting at 12.30. We are usually finished by 3.00 pm.

We also have a programme of Social Events. These comprise visits to places of interest and outings, to which partners and guests may be invited.

Currently, we have places for new members. Our annual subscription is £20. Lunches are currently £25.00 each. You pay for drinks, a raffle, whatever else you want.

Lunches

Members are reminded that they need to advise the Lunch Secretary, John Smith, if they are not planning to attend the next lunch meeting by at the latest 10.00pm on the Monday evening preceding the lunch.
